using both
keep streamelements for alerts, overlays, points and commands.
its chat alerts and crouton both thank follows, subs and raids. turn those alerts off, or keep its sub and raid alerts and type !bot off subs and !bot off raids.
got a !lurk or !so command in streamelements? keep one: delete it there, or type !bot off lurks or !bot off shoutouts.
CroutonChats is its own account, and it waits its turn when chat's busy.

questions
can i use both?
yes, that's the idea. streamelements keeps your alerts, points and commands, and CroutonChats does the talking.
is crouton ai?
yes: anthropic's claude writes its lines. streamelements has an $(ai) variable in beta, for commands. crouton needs no command. nothing goes in chat until you turn it on.
does crouton have loyalty points?
no. its chat games keep a points board for the week, with nothing to spend. keep streamelements' points for that.
does crouton keep chat clean?
no, keep streamelements' filters for that. crouton only times someone out when you or a helper you named ask, and never a mod.
what does crouton cost?
three streams free, no card. then Starter is $15 a month under 25 viewers, or Plus is $30.
where this comes from
streamelements' own site and docs, checked . if they've changed since, theirs is right: tell support@crouton.chat and we'll fix ours.
